COVID-19 Diary Project
Help us to document the current coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and create a valuable record for future researchers by telling us about your experiences.
Moments that will remain
“When I qualified as doctor last summer, I could never have imagined what this year would bring...“ In this post to mark the 72nd birthday of the NHS, Dr Laura Jenner shares her experience of working on the frontline over the past three months.
Our lockdown
For Digital Takeover Day, we’ve granted collections volunteer Abbie access to the COVID-19 Diary Project entries to see what life has been like for our diary contributors since the world was turned upside down by COVID-19. In this post, Abbie shares what she found, what the general feelings have been during this unusual time, and how people’s lives have been impacted.
Documenting the pandemic
We are a museum of Edward Jenner and the history of vaccination, but we are also a museum of public health and the history of disease. In our collection we hold documents and objects relating to the ways in which we’ve sought to tackle and overcome disease, before and after Jenner. It seems only right, therefore, that we also document the history of this current pandemic. But we need your help to do this.
