Potion Makers

  • Dr Jenner's House Church Lane Berkeley GL13 9BN United Kingdom (map)

Step back in time a create a herbal cure, just as country doctor, Edward Jenner would have done.

In this workshop, we’ll be exploring how people have used herbs to cure illnesses, treat wounds and ease aches and pains. We will take inspiration from historic remedies to write our own cure and then head off into our beautiful garden to gather herbs before returning to mix them in a real pestle and mortar, just as people would have done hundreds of years ago.

A really fun, sensory and educational activity, suitable for children aged 5-11 years. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets are £5 per child and spaces are limited, so please book in advance. This ticket does not include entry to the museum, but you can buy entry on the day, which lasts all year.
